Monitor in Training (MiT)

Are you 14 or 15 and too old for Subbies?

Have you wanted to be on the other side and work at Laser camp?

Here is an opportunity to stake your claim to wear the infamous red staff t-shirt in the future.

We are running a leadership course for 14 and 15 year olds that will identify, develop and test out the required skills that make an excellent employee. Even if it is not Laser that you want to work for, we will help you to develop the basics skills of communication, teamwork, group management, activity planning and confidence in delivery. In addition to all of this we do some basic first aid and some basic age appropriate safeguarding for working with children.

You will get the opportunity to work directly in groups and lead sessions that you have planned for them.  There will also be time allocated for self reflection and Q&A in respect of your days activities.

At the end of the week you will have a log book evidencing your weeks work with recognition of all your attributes developed across the week. This will act as a great piece of evidence for any future employment, college application or support activities such as the Duke of Edinburgh award.

This 5.5 day course will start on Sunday afternoon and then run 8.30am-5.30pm Monday to Friday.

The cost is just £100 including VAT
